Day 41 - It's been awhile.

Well, it's certainly been awhile since I've posted on the blog. I been WAY too busy with stuff to do over the holidays to even consider it.

Anyways, I had a great Christmas with my family. We got lots of games and stuff, so we stayed at home and played those.

That night, my friend and I headed to Future Shop at 2AM for the Boxing Day lineup. When we arrived, we were around the 20th in line. Standing there in the cold, we watched as more people entered the line, and more cars parked out in the lot. Before you knew it, the place was filled with people. I think there was at least 150-200 in line right before opening. Anyways, got out with what I wanted for a GOOD price.

Day 40 - MERRY CHRISTMAS ! + Space Jam and Avatar

Merry Christmas everyone!!!

So I went to the Space Jam meetup with a bunch of other guys. It was great fun and I managed to squeak in a few pics of the day. Kinda disappointed at the fact that my Space Jams fit a little small. I might just sell them or just bear with it and hope they stretch a bit.

Here are pics from the day.

Day 39 - Holidays

Start of the holidays have been pretty eventful. I've been pretty stressed out about university applications, as I don't know what to go for, but hopefully after the holidays, I'll have a better outlook on what I want to do as a career.

Today, I went to a friends to play some MW2 and Melee. I miss playing Melee a lot... Gotta sharpen up my skills again with Falco.

Anyways, tomorrow I'm headed to Buffalo with my family. Hopefully, I'll find something at Urban Outfitters. I'll probably check out Nike and Polo for something as well. It's going to be fun!

Wednesday is the long awaited day... SPACE JAM PICKUP/MEETUP! Going with a bunch of sneaker/denim heads to go pick up the shoes, walk around downtown, and eat some wings.

Enough of my rant, it's time to go to sleep. Going to watch Utaban MM Shuffle episode on Youtube now.

Day 38 - IRELAND

Today was fun as hell.

Headed to school today to go solely for Biology class. I had nothing else to do but sleep in, so I decided to stop being lazy for one day. My teacher brought in his Wii and everyone packed in the small room to play. So many people were in there at one time, the head count was almost 40-50.

Played Brawl and Mariokart. Kinda pissed there wasn't a full roster of characters, but it wasn't that bad. Pulled out a Lucas win even though I haven't played with him in months. Got knocked out the tournament because of the stage choice smh...

Day 37 - 1 more day...

Bio test was an ass... Some new teacher wrote it, and it was harder then it should have been. The multiple choice was unnecessary and confusing and some of the questions were random. I hope I make it out with an okay mark.

Today, just the usual. My presentation went smoother then I thought in E&SS. We easily made it past the allotted time and I felt comfortable talking in front of the class. Good job Tyrell for your contributions.

Anyways, as promised, here are some pics from today:

Day 36 - Hectic

This week is really tight on work... I'm getting a bunch of completion work for writer's craft, which is taking up a lot of my time. Also, I'm bombarded by biology research and studying... All this stuff better be worth the 2 week break, which I'm sure it will. It's my only motivation.

Finally got my camera back today. Good timing for the holidays and the events that accompany it. Gonna take some pics tomorrow. I haven't even archived the snow fall yet.

I wonder what's going down for the holidays. So many people are going to be away or busy. I better find something to do soon.

Anyways, gonna study for biology now. Should keep me up till an unhealthy time tonight.

Day 35 - Step by Step

Woke up at around 9:30, still groggy from late night Youtube. It was quite a hassle for me to get up, but I finally got around to doing so. I quickly got changed, got ready, and headed for the door. It was time to go to Scarborough Town Centre.

We arrived early, avoiding the rush and the parking lot frenzy. I didn't have my camera with me, so I was unable to take pics of the Christmas ornaments and the huge tree they have set up in the middle of the mall.

I only picked up one gift today, which was not the best I could do. There's still time, though. For lunch, I had a nice sandwich from Michel's and some NYF. After that, I walked around a little more, avoiding places that I know I would spend money in. Nothing much happened after, so we headed home to relax for the rest of the day.

My iPod battery is horrible nowadays. I had it on for about 5 hours straight, and it was already 90% drained from a full charge. Usually, it lasts way longer and I'm afraid that it might run dry in the middle of the day...and days without music suck.

Now I'm going to start up Street Fighter and watch Youtube. I need some practice in Third Strike for sure... I have some inspiration from the Kuroda DVD samples. Well, that's about it for today..

G'night.

Day 34 - The Weekend is Here!

Just one more week of school and it's winter break. It's definitely going to be a week of hard work, projects, and tests, but we're almost there. I better start planning my winter break efficiently before I promise things that won't or can't happen.

My Canada Goose is so damn warm.. After a 10 minute walk in the snowy weather outside, my body was warm and moist. Amazing jacket... I do need a scarf though, my face was frozen!!

This place has been empty of pictures lately, simply because I haven't had the motivation to take pics. Leaving my camera at Omar's house doesn't help either (There, have your shoutout). For now, I'll just place random pictures from Google on here in replacement of the ones I am unable to take at the moment.

...and since Omar Khan wanted me to mention him in my blog, here you go.

Just came home from hockey like an hour ago. Finally netted a goal. It wasn't pretty, but hey, it counted.

I wonder what's going down this weekend. Hmm.

Day 32

Snow fell hard today. I hate going out and shoveling in the morning, but it was bearable today.

Had hockey and couldn't net a goal if my life depended on it. I had so many chances and shifts, but the bounces weren't to my favour today. Oh well, there's always tomorrow's game.

New drum video. A collaborative effort from my boy Anthony and myself. Big props to him for learning the song and editing the video perfectly. Awesome job!

Day 31

Good day today!!!

School was the usual. Found out I did pretty well on my E&SS test, which I wasn't too confident about. Glad I got the good mark though. In Writer's Craft, my groups fable play went smoother then I would have imagined. Even though everything was basically last last minute, we managed to act it out just fine, and also milked a few laughs from the class.

After school, I went home to be greeted with a Black Canada Goose Expedition! Birthday gift from my parents. Definitely a very nice jacket that will keep me warm! :D

Nothing too much to say today. I'm going to to turn on the PS2 and play some Street Fighter. Later on, I'll probably the newly uploaded Utaban episode and Whose Line on Youtube.

Day 30

I haven't had much time or drive to update the blog as of late. My schedule is filled with Street Fighter, going out, and sleep.

Lately, I've had the feeling of nostalgia surge through me every time I hear a Christmas carol. I remember back in the day at Bendale when every class would go down to the gym and sing christmas carols together. I always sat with my friends, as we mocked and reworded the songs to our enjoyment. Those times are long gone, and it sucks. Childhood was the best.

I've been looking at the 8130 boot by Red Wing, and every time I take a peek at a picture, it screams "BUY ME!!". Definately a beautiful boot, and black would be very versatile, but I got better things to spend my money on... at least that's what I want myself to think.

I'm so pissed that Of Machines isn't coming on the tour to play on the 12th. The only band I'm looking forward to is Speak of the Devil, and they are probably not going to play for very long... Very bummed. I probably won't go anymore.

Off to bed... Almost 1:00.

Day 29.

Yesterday, I finally got my boots re-oiled. they felt great when I wore them to dinner today. My boots are ready for the winter snow!

DSC01407.jpg picture by derykthyim

Today wasn't a bad day. I went to dinner with my dad and headed to hockey at about 9. Corey probably performed the best faceplant I have ever seen in my hockey career. I'm never going to let him live it down!

Yesterday, I found out that I only got 1 wrong on my biology test, which is great news. Since a lot of people in the other class did horrible apparently, everyone got 15 minutes to re-write any of their mistakes on the test. That put all of us in a good mood, as the whole class got a second chance at perfect, which is a rare occasion.

Time to go to bed. Saturday: Sushi Mountain

November 29th

Today started out nice and chill. Got up at around 11:30 from a night of Youtubing. I got up, ate some food and I was off to my drums. I've been slacking so much; I should really start practicing more.

Anyways, at around 4:00, I headed out to bring some food to my Grandpa. Sat in the car for a bit playing Tetris and listening to tunes.

Today's happenings.

Got up and headed out to the mall to clean up my hair and purchase shirt/tie for my grad photo on Tuesday. I walked out of H&M with a grey shirt and a black slim tie. My hair looks exactly the same because I didn't want to cut it too short for the winter. I hope it looks okay for my grad photos.

I'm back!

It's been awhile. I've been quite lazy lately, as I've been focusing my drive on school work and studying. I had a biology test today, and I think I did alright on it. Some questions were tricky, but I hope I get those right. The next unit is Evolution, which I think will be very interesting!

Over the past week, I haven't taken much pictures. I really should take more over the weekend. Tomorrow I'm heading to the mall to get a haircut and some clothes for my grad photo on Tuesday. I kinda want to hit the St. Clair sale for Goodfoot tomorrow, but I doubt that will happen. I don't have the cash anyways...

One thing that's pissing me off to my limits is my laptop cord. 3/4s of the time when it's plugged it, it won't charge my computer. I have to fidget and move it around until it works again, and it turns off every few seconds. When I put it on my bed a certain way, it stays on, but it's way too uncomfortable to type that way! I need a new cord. These ones break too fast... or am I just too rough with them?

Let the weekend begin! No homework!!!

Events.

Today was not a bad day at all. It felt gloomy as I walked out my door this morning, but as I felt the breeze, it surprised me. The seemingly glum scenery and feeling felt cool, yet refreshing. A good kick in the gut to start the day.

Earth & Space Science was dull as always. I can't wait to get rid of this upcoming unit test so we can start on the more controversial and interesting topics of Astronomy and Space.

Lunch today: General Tao

In Biology, my teacher brought in out new class pet, a Kenyan sand boa. It was amazing to handle and was very interesting to see burrowing in it's hole inside it's small containment area. It sucks to hear that we can't keep him for long. Stupid administration wouldn't let the pet stay in the classroom. All hope of a fun, interesting environment in our classroom has been crushed. I guess the old fashioned board of administration just doesn't get it.

After school, I headed to my friend Nick's house to finish our radio play. I think it turned out really well. I'm probably going to head there tomorrow to finish it up and get everything sorted out.

Nostalgic Television/ Video Games

Some of the most influential and memorable moments of my childhood came through television, music and other media. In bio class today, we briefly discussed how smells, sounds, sight, and taste can bring back memories and events of your past. Here are some of the things that bring me back to the past, whether it be a few months ago, or many years behind present day.

I remember back in the day when my Mom used to turn on CTV, and "Whose Line is it Anyway?" would be on. I never understood the jokes, but when I saw them go up and the crowd started cheering, I couldn't help but to chuckle a little myself. Now that I'm older and I understand what they are talking about, it's overwhelmingly funny. I'm glad I found so many episodes and clips on Youtube.

Hmm maybe I'll post something like this every few days or so. Got a lot to cover!

Car Shopping

Today, I went to school. Same old stuff going on there. Nothing special happening really.

After, I headed to VW, as my Mom wants to purchase a new car. They look nice!! It's a nice change from the old Jetta we have.

Anyways, I'm trying to think of what to spend my money on. Now that I have my cheque, I'm more enthusiastic about buying some new stuff. I still have to pick up a new winter jacket. A Canada Goose is probably out of the question, unless Tarran pulls a huge discount out his ass for me. Or maybe I'll just save up what I have left after Christmas and purchase a DSLR. I think I would be good with photography, and I'm really interested in learning about it.

I got nothing else to talk about today. Boring post, I know.

Lazy Day

Zzzzzzzzzzzz LAZY ASS DAY TODAY!!!

Didn't do smack for the whole day. It kinda felt waste, but in the end, it wasn't bad at all. I promised a good update, and I lied. Sorry.

Stayed in my bed and watched Whose Line is it Anyway. Probably the funniest show I have ever seen. As I look back, I never really understood many of the jokes that were told back then, but now that I'm older, they're just hilarious to see. Colin Mochrie, Ryan Stiles, Drew Carey, and Wayne Brady are geniuses!

Anyways, I should be sleeping soon, but I feel the need to stay up and find some Morning Musume videos. The videos are so hard to find now. All the trusty uploaders on Youtube have been caught by the Youtube popo and have dissapeared or have gone undercover. I'm always on the lookout now...

Now that I'm at it, I'll just add my fit that I wore yesterday.
